Georgian whose roots run deep in the small-business, agricultural, and civic life of Whitfield County.
Born and raised in Dalton, Nicky grew up helping his family build and operate
local small businesses—his father as a general contractor and owner of Dalton
Stamp & Coin, his mother as the former owner of Paper Princess (custom stationery and gift store), and his grandmother as the owner of Fast Foto.

But the greatest influence on his path to public service was his grandfather, Ed Painter, the former GOP Chairman for Georgia’s 14th District. Marching with Ed in the Tea Party movement and learning from his leadership in Georgia’s 2010 redistricting, including the creation of the 14th Congressional District itself, and campaigning for President Donald J Trump inspired Nicky to embrace conservative values, public service, and the belief that ordinary citizens can step up and make a difference.
As soon as Nicky was old enough to vote in the presidential election, which was 2020, he proudly cast his ballot for Donald Trump.
Professionally, Nicky brings hands-on experience in contracting, real estate development, farming and ranching, aviation, and small-business ownership—giving him a real understanding of the challenges facing families, farms, and job creators in Northwest Georgia. Elected to the Dalton City Council in 2023, he has focused on development, infrastructure, and community revitalization.
